Plantar reflex -Method of elicitation

The plantar reflex is superficial reflex elicited by stimulating the sole of the foot  with a blunt instrument.
In normal adults the plantar reflex is flexor causes a downward response of the hallux.
An upward response (extension) of the hallux is called as the Babinski response or Babinski sign, named after the neurologist Joseph Babinski.

  2. It resembles lichen.
  3. The cause of this disease is unknown.
  4. Lichen planus is said to be due to an autoimmune process.
  5. This disease has no cure.
  6. Many different drugs and procedures are used to control the symptoms.
